Basics: Embouchure, Breath Support, Reading, Classical, Jazz, Rock, Blues, Improvisation, Duets. Advanced Literature: Claude Bolling, J.S. Bach, Jazz Standards, Debussy Syrinx. Flute students have embouchure (mouth muscles) issues which require physical development not usually possible before 6th grade (around 11 years old). Piccolo students begin with flute instruction and add piccolo as a secondary instrument.
